To be later ported to XBox 360. Seriously, with the lack of exclusive titles on the PS3, what's the point? Even FF13 is going to be on the 360.

Speaking of ports, there's a rumour Okami's being ported to the Wii. That would be great

Didn't know that but sweet. I even heard that Assassin's Creed will be a lot better on Xbox because PS3 can't handle nearly as many random people on the street as the 360 can. Something about threads and algorithms... that's what I get for having dinner with a programmer friend. Just sounds like the PS3 hardware was built to be too specific in what it could do... where as the 360 is more generic and can go further.

There are no plans to port FF13 to the Xbox 360.

I call bullshit. They have already announced that FF13 is going to a non-exclusive title. Gee, the game is originally designed for the PS3, so what other platform could it jump to:

Wii - no way; not powerful enough; not even HD-compatible
PC - Ha! Like they would repeat the disaster of FF7 for PC.

So, the only obvious choice is the 360. Saying that it's non-exclusive but that it's "unknown" that it's going to be on the 360 is like saying that they aren't picking options A, C, D, & E, but not confirming that it's option B. Simple process of elimination.

So, I stand by my fact that FF13 is going to be on the 360.

I heard word that since the FF13 will be a bunch of games, that there will be one mobile game, a multiplatform, and the core ff13 will be ps3 exclusive.... I have no link for evidence, this is purely off of memory.

The series Sine. Not the actual game FFXIII. They intend to make a crap load of spin-offs and sequals of the FFXIII world.

Meh, didn't even read the article that I linked to. Whatever. FF13 isn't going to make me buy a PS3. PS3 needs to get a helluva lot more exclusive titles than that.

Metal Gear Solid 4 will make me buy a PS3.

However, I'm annoyed at FFXIII.

I mean, they're really expecting us to absolutely fall in love with this game's world. They should've just done this with FFXII, by not being fucktards and firing Matsuno. Instead, we have to deal with years and years of some cyberpunk shitty world of metrosexuals and whatnot.

Then again, maybe I'm wrong, and FFXIII will be amazing. But Nomura is on the edge with me--all the shit he's done recently has annoyed me to hell, and the days of FFVII and VIII, where he was actually on his A-game, and FFX, where the characters really greatly assisted the plot. However, Kingdom Hearts, the new FFVII bullshit, and his general demeanor in general have REALLY made me disliked him.

I dunno about you, but I'm completely numb to the constant "medieval fantasy" bullshit that has invaded the RPG industry. You can only rehash the same goddamn story enough times, with the same old boring magic and wizards and trolls and dwarves and goblins and elves, etc., etc., etc., etc., etc. (Seriously, we know that dwarves make shit. Can't they be the spellcasters for once?) Granted, Final Fantasy has done the best job of breathing life to the medieval fantasy look, but only when it combines the sci-fi elements together.

Therefore, I eat up all of the sci-fi stuff, like FF7, System Shock, etc. I welcome a "cyberpunk shitty world of metrosexuals", because it's not fucking boring, and it's something different. (Actually, I was disappointed that the big sci-fi looking city in FF7 was about as sci-fi as it got in the game. After you escaped, it was all sort of "present day" from there.)

Also, what's wrong with Kingdom Hearts?

Kingdom Hearts 2 sold much less than 1, so Squeenix doesn't have such a hard-on for the series as they used to, particularly with the logarithmic jump in production costs. But they still talk about it as one of their "pillars" next to FF and DQ, so you can bet you'll see another

Sony needs something and they will pay them enough for it. I say for Xmas 2008

Like I said, "What's wrong with Kingdom Hearts?" I didn't ask for a sales figure.

Well, from my time with the first one, Kingdom Hearts had very much the same experience as Castlevania 64, I really wanted to hate the game but I just couldn't.

KH had ridiculously horrid camera. If you ever complained about Mario 64s camera and didn't about this one (which came out what, 7 years later?), I want what you're on. Seriously, 95% of the challenge in that game was 'cause the damned camera was too close or wouldn't turn around fast enough or some stupid thing. Basically, it serves to ensure you couldn't see shit. Also, the ridiculousness of the respawning of the Heartless (or whatever those dark beings were called) before you closed the hole with the key punished the shit out of you for doing what you're supposed to do: explore. I mean, they didn't fucking stop. After a while I just got fed up and started running......a lot.

But the game had a great little storyline, awesome voice acting that really added to the experience, a great premise, and very nice graphics. I wanted to hate it 'cause of the gameplay shortcomings but I couldn't. I just put it down after 7 or 8 hours and never got back into it.

The camera was pretty bad at times, but with the way the controls and aiming were set up, it didn't matter if you could see the enemy or not. I think the camera was improved on KH2.

How is this different from FF2, FF3, Chrono Trigger, and countless other RPGs that use a random battle system?

It's an adventure game not an RPG. Real time makes it even more annoying. And I've said all along that random battles in RPGs, to me, is a dead concept and needs to be removed.
