  • PS3 super patch is up now!

  • Because playing them is not enough, we have to bitch about them daily, too. We had a Gameplay forum, but it got replaced by GameFAQs.

Hey, you know that patch that makes the store pretty? It's up now. Something about some sort of fancy sound too. Anyways, the store won't load any pictures for me, but the lair patch for non-motion controls is up too. Exciting? Hello? is anyone reading this?..... dang.

I think there's only 3 people who have a PS3 here (that should more than double when MGS4 comes out assuming they do the $100 price drop). And it's not like we're getting a free game or anything or Home is finally released. It's just a prettied-up version of their store and a 'fix' for a game no one liked.

Now, pre-ordering MGS4 and getting the MGS Saga Vol 2, that's PS3 news to talk about. I gotta open mine up and watch it.

I hadn't heard any rumors of a $100 price drop. Where'd you hear that? Heck...I'd probably be getting a PS3 by year's end if they dropped another $100. haha

Hmmm. I might take a PS3 from the cluster home for... repairs.... when MGS4 comes out.

What was the last game you actually put some time into? I know you haven't been playing much.

I've actually put a decent amount of time into some older games recently:

I'm about 10 hours into a Chrono Trigger replay (since I bought the cart through Zeus). The game goes by quick when you know what you need to do, but it's still fun.

In January, when I had a broken toe and a strained lower back, I put about 15 hours into a FFT replay, but I died a bunch of times at - wait for it - Riovannes Castle and I haven't picked it up since. But man-oh-man is that game still awesome. I caught a contact high from all of the people who were playing the new translation on the PSP, and I'm surprised at how well it's aged.

Two weekends ago I picked up We Love Katamari, which I had played through already, but on an old roommate's copy. I was hankering for some Katamari, and it's still lots of fun.

And I still haven't beaten Twilight Princess, which I started... I can't even remember when. I played a bit over the weekend, and I know I'm near the end, but I'm just doing fetch-quests, and it's not keeping my interest.

Basically, I played FFT because I was injured and couldn't lift or do BJJ. And I put time into Katamari and CT because you can put as little as 15 minutes into them and get something done. Because it takes more commitment to make progress in Twilight Princess, it's been mostly untouched. It's the last new game I bought, and before that, FF12.

Rumour on I believe Gamespot a month or so ago. A lot of it may be hope, too, as I REALLY want to play MGS4. I even pre-ordered the limited edition one. Not just to get the MGS Saga Vol 2 either.

I love the PSP port of FFT. I've been close to the end for weeks now, just occasionally picking it up to buff up my party (my main five are all around lvl 90). This is probably my fourth time through the game and I'm loving it more than ever.

FFT is so deep. I had already done two playthroughs many years ago, but the parties I ended up with was relatively conservative; I didn't venture out into the classes and abilities beyond what I liked or thought looked good. I made an effort this time around to experiment, and it was fun and rewarding.
