Anyone here knowledgable in Unix servers? Specifically how to set up Sendmail?

<div style='font: 11pt Dominion; text-align: left; '>Kinda got a problem here...I co-chair the Committee that oversees my Student Government's Student server and for no apparant reason this past weekend the sendmail function stopped working. This means we no longer get emails from the server about adding new users or any other server related problems. This is vital to our server...now the other co-chair tried reinstalling Sendmail last night but it doesn't seem to be set up correctly and he said he guessed on a lot of the settings.

Anyone know how to fix this??</div>
