It took them over 600 takes to get it right. No computer animation was used, they had to get it all right the in one take. Blows your mind.

That Honda cog commercial was actually a Gold Lion award winner at the 2004 Cannes Advertising Festival. It's an awesome commercial.

I had a couple of commercials on my comp that were the European Focus commercials where the car kills a cat and the other where it kills a bird. Can't remember the name of the car, though.....

Perhaps the plane of view isn't on the slant that it is perceived to be on. Maybe they just had really clear threads pulling everything alone, who knows? Maybe it is Japanese magic.
