Is this veil of democracy we've all been living under for the last 40 years finally lifted?

What I can't understand is how more people do not notice or care about these things...this is very easily abusable as far as legislation goes.

Bush is only in power because half the country elected him so. These people - and the fact that they seem not to care or know about what his administration is doing - seem to me to be the real danger here.

Not to mention that this is completely against the very essence of free speech. Well, that's what happens when an adminstration does shit, gets re-elected, and has none of it's members in the running for the next election.
