The Shrine

Have any of you guys used this yet? It's pretty cool. It's basically just IM functionality built into your Gmail account. I really like how simple it is and how well it works.

I'm using it when I'm at work so I can talk to my friend who is also at work. I'm not allowed to install any IM software like AIM so this works perfectly.

Only one of my contacts has it..never tried it though

I've been using something similar, the oldest program, IRC. When at home I use mIRC (since even after more than a decade it is still the best chat program), and when I am anywhere else I use Java-IRC which can still access the servers I need using just a browser, it's just a little slower and simpler. I use that for all online chatting now; but I also have MSN messenger for people who I know in real life since it is the most popular program around here. I still have ICQ, I just never use it.

Ahhh..the IRC days..what memories...
