Wow, racism in America gets it's way

I heard this may not be a bad thing. A lot of the reason those deals were being made was because the people who would have been running the ports - and who have ties to U.S. gov't. - would suddenly become free from oversight.
Much as I'd love to trust the Saudi oil interests and Bush and friends, I just don't know if it would be a good idea. The profiteering's bad enough as it is.

It's an understandable position/result (probably for the best)...that is unfortunately motivated by a bunch of politically-motivated, posturing clowns.

I really am beginning to wonder if corporations will actually someday become the dominant world powers in place of nation-states, because you can't seem to get anyone good to run for office anymore (though Rudy Giuliani may run as a Republican in 2008, which would be pretty sweet).
Seems unlikely during my lifetime, but who can say.

Someday? You don't have to have the title of "president" to run a nation, ask Cheney....
