Another reason to move to Vancouver...

British Columbia "Compassion Club" for Cannabis

http://www.cannabisculture.com/articles/4549.html

This sounds like it is probably almost trivial to get a prescription for, and as close to legal as it gets bar Amsterdam. I actually hear that Vancouver may be the second-most-known-for-cannabis city in the world, after Amsterdam...

BC weed is rather popular on this continent. It would have to be, those Vancouver-ites need it to keep up the erroneous belief that they're actually important - as important as Toronto - to the rest of the country.

Isn't that right, Kali? XD

It ain't just popular in your country, you know...

Discussions about BC weed take on this sort of semi-reverent tone down here, since we see so little of it but have heard so much. Never had any that I'm aware of...

We're on the same continent, Mental. Put down the pipe!

BC hydro will cause you to lose your sense of direction, "That way isn't West James, that's the fucking sky!"

Hah, always making everyone's day brighter, eh Bovine? :)

He's a friend of mine that I convinced to give the Shrine a shot.

Well, at least I won't have to spend money on aspirin!

I do know about Vancouver's harder drug problems, but I highly doubt it's any worse than in Los Angeles. The neighborhood I'm living in right now has people who are addicted to just about any drug you can imagine. I've been offered crack on the street.

Sounds a lot like a small town I used to live in =)

Human use of drugs - for recreational purposes - is older than writing. You are *n*e*v*e*r* going to stop people from doing drugs...never never never...the best you can really hope for, I think, are responsible use patterns...

Hey, if you really want to get fucked up, 1/3rd of a gram of BC Hydro in a turbo lung will have you totally fucked up for eight hours straight. You will be more fucked up than a mentally retarded three year old who just ate a pound of sugar.

Sorry for confusing you Zeus: in other words it's very good and powerful stuff (in combination with the turbo method) for those who are into pot.

I also apologize for my typo/spelling mistake which seems to have bothered you. I make them occaisionally when posting on the Internet. =)

I thought the typo worked out quite well, actually :-)

Man, I am really enjoying being blitzed, in general.

I am starting to smoke like a smokestack too...I never seem to stop at one joint, at least when I smoke alone.

Once a which? Hour? :)

That gets expensive, though...

One thing you should know. You can't smoke in bars here. Except in some of the backwater towns in Quebec and Newfoundland (possibly New Brunswick).

You can't smoke cannabis in bars practically anywhere. I've heard that Vancouver has a select few, actually, though, who sort of do a de-facto-legal-just-keep-it-hush-hush thing going on.

And I don't smoke tobacco, and I couldn't smoke in bars here in California, anyway - it's not legal in public places here either.
