Drive thru's outsourced?

Yeah that's what my G/f told me. A couple of friends actually did this temorarily. It was interesting.

Its a good idea. The order taker doesnt need to be there so why not use someone remote who can speak good english (so, no outsourcing) and service multiple locations. I bet they would only need half the oder takers if they were all remote as opposed to manning every window. Then they could simply train the food rusher (who actually gives you the food) to also give you your change.

Sometimes, saving that extra penny just isn't worth it. McDonalds has to remember it's in the food SERVICES industry. People don't want their food ordered or delivered remotely or by a robot; this is why we tip waiters (like Steve Buscemi in Reservoir Dogs, I only tip if the person deserves it, often more than 20% for excellent service). With this mentality, we may actually soon be able to go through life without actually interacting with ANYONE
