So I'm going to be in Ottawa attending a conference from June 9 until June 15. Does anyone here know the city and any fun things I should do?

I used to go all the time when I was a kid. I remember it had some great museums, I don't know a thing about the bar scene though.

I'm there occasionally... usually for Laser Quest or DDR events. There are some very nice cafes in the heart of the city, but I can't think of anything offhand that's really worth doing or checking out. There are some sights to be seen I suppose.

Ottawa has tons of festivals and stuff going on in the summer. It is our nation's capital after all (yes, Ish, it's Ottawa, not Toronto; that's Ontario's capital

). Just do a search.

Also, the Just for Laughs festival in Montreal might be going on. It's only an hour and a half out and it's a great festival. Check out www.hahaha.com for the times

We don't recognize Ottawa as the Capital here in the East.

The Eastern Capital
