I never, but never watch anime. But I was reading about Astro Boy on Wiki and that video makes the series look awesome. If you tell me it's good I'll probably see if I can find the first episode online to buy...

Heh, I remember when I was a little kid I used to live off of anime like Astro-Boy, Thunder Cats, Speed Racer, Voltron, and that other one with the giant robots (either Gundam or Macross, maybe it was called Ultra Robot Wars =P).

The original Astro-Boy I remember had a really dark beginning, I really forget the series, I just remember the beginning was unhappy. Astro Boy was possibly the first show that I would have called my favourite show, in my life. I really would like to watch the series again, just for memories. I seem to remember he had an older brother who had a Crystal Palace in Outer Space, that was really cool.

Opening of AstroBoy had Astro being sold to a circus due to his incredible strength and unpredicatility. If I'm not mistaken, his father (the doctor) might have passed away as well.
