Rebates?

I just got a $20 rebate from Newegg and Leadtek in the mail...for a video card I bought in June 2005...
Anyone else gotten really really late rebates? I totally forgot I HAD a rebate

main reason I hate rebates...they take forever. However, a year is pretty extreme!!

Actually, there was something on the news awhile back that if you filled out a rebate form and you waited longer than the maximum for said rebate (8 weeks) you could get the full price or something. A lot of places were doing rebate scams (mainly IT suppliers) and someone blew the whistle.
