So, maybe they'll be second last in their division without a real goalie? :-)

My team was two points away from a playoff position last year, yours was out before the allstar break. Slight difference :-)

And now your team is stripping down a lot of it's key roleplayers and Eddie the "spread Eagle" is about to sign with Detroilet. Bottom feeders this year you are!

Oh Barret, you're just supporting the stereotype that Americans outside of the northeastern seaboard know nothing about hockey. It was only after Eddie got hurt did the Leafs start doing well. His numbers were horrible and he just couldn't do it anymore. And it's not like the guys they let go did a huge amount last year. All they need is a couple more forwards and they'll be better off than last year easily, particularly with the defense corp they've got now. And even if Raycroft falters, they've got the same guys who carried them in the second half last year.
So, if anything, they should be better than last year and they were only 2 points out. The Blues, on the other hand, will need to gain what, 30 points, to have a chance at the playoffs?

The Blues will see the light of the playoffs gleeming off the pristine cup as they topple over Anahiem, San Jose, and then Nashville to beat the hell out of the Lightning in the finals.
