Yeah, the direct link is perfect, but when I add it to the avatar on the boards it blows it up...I was curious as to why.

Try downloading it to your computer then uploading it to the server instead of using the URL. It might not know the dimensions, so it uses the max.

Yeah, since it's a URL, it doesn't download the image and has no idea of the dimensions.
