Probably true though it doesn't hurt to have those ultra fast load times that I tend to get at Google that I don't with YouTube. In many ways, the quality of software is far less important than things like marketing/popularity/etc. Thus the popularity of Myspace, YouTube, etc over products that are "technically" superior.
