I didn't actually see the event, but I watched the fight video later online. Essentially the GSP in this fight was A LOT more confident than the one three years ago. Even during their first fight, a 22 year old GSP managed to dominate Matt Hughes for almost the entire fight, but made some mistakes and led to him getting submitted in the closing seconds of the first round.

The second fight saw the same GSP that we have been seeing almost ever since. Matt Hughes just couldn't solve him and GSP was relentless in his attack, he took down Matt Hughes and ground and pounded him for a short period. By the end of the round, Matt Hughes looked like he had been hit by a truck. GSP managed to knock out Matt with a punch in the closing seconds of the round; as the commentator said, it would have been great irony if the fight had ended then. Instead it went to the second round, where GSP put a kick right through both of Matt's legs once, causing him to trip up, and then again, taking his legs completely out from under him. Matt stood up, and after a few more punches, GSP went for the high kick to the head sending Matt tumbling to the Matt where GSP jumped on him and scored a knock out victory a few seconds later.

Winner and new UFC Welterweight Champion: George St. Pierre

Great fight for the UFC =)

UFC is starting to get better champions, with Liddell, Silva, and Sherk, that makes 4 champions who I like. Though Heavyweight is always my favourite weight class, and the problem with the UFC, they do not have anyone in that weight class worth mentioning. I really do hope they cough up the cash and get Aleksander Emelianenko (PRIDE) or Jerome Le Banner (K1), or both, the company would really benefit from having those guys in their heavyweight division. Either one of them could take out Old Stand-Around Tim Sylvia easily.

Unfortunately the UFC has been good with getting the full fight offline. It has popped up on a few sites, Daily Motion, Youtube, etc... but it usually lasts less than 10 hours online.

Check www.dailymotion.com and www.youtube.com from time to time. The video often goes up, but never stays very long.
