I don't know if it is the same elsewhere, but around here we always get the stupid hate literature from those door to door Christ Cults which try to prove that Jews and Muslims are following a path that will lead them to hell and that god abhors homosexuality. I especially like when they use bible passages to prove their points; as if the bible is some sort of authority on anything. This is where their argument is flawed, if someone is going to have complete faith in how the words are exactly written in the bible, then they should go kill their parents because as the bible says: in Matthew 10:34 (which is close to the beginning):

"Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to turn man against his father, daughter against her mother. A person's worst enemies will be the members of their own household."

It would be funny to see them take those literally, take a sword and kill their parents =P

We'd see a lot more of their type in prison =)

Hrrmmm. Well, if you dont want to talk to them you can always not answer the door or simply tell them you arent interested... I think the kids were 100x ruder than someone knocking on your door in the morning. Noone wants to be embarrassed or made fun of.

There's a level of personal intrusion of door-to-door or calling someone. They shouldn't be doing it in the first place. They should expect rude reactions. Not that I'm condoning going over the top, but it's not surprising and, to a very, very small degree, justified

I am strongly in favour of pelting door to door Christ Cult recruiters with water balloons. I could be polite, but then I am not entertained.

The bottom line is anyone who is associated with a group (such as the Jehovas Whitnesses) that spreads discriminatory literature better expect to be discriminated against.
