Speaking of marriage, my sister-in-law's mother got hitched last weekend, during the wedding the priest asked for readers(that's supposed to be done beforehand!), and also refered to the groom as Bill until he was informed his name was James...heh.

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>Well, I believe it has something to do with the level of standing within the church actually. For example, I know the Anglican church has Celebrants, Reverands and Pastors. (a few others too, but it's been 9 years since I attended)</div>

<div style='font: bold 9pt ; text-align: left; '>It depends on the church. I'm Presbyterian and the guy(my best friend's father actually) who gives sermons and such is the pastor or reverend. Both terms are used. Catholic churches have priests, bishops, cardinals, etc.</div>
