It all depends on whether or not you believe in marriage.
I mean, if Julia Stiles proposed to me, I would probably marry her tonight. Outside of Miss Stiles, it's not at all in my future plans =P

We all get those years where you have 3+ friends/family getting married. It is brutal.

I personally have no self-esteem issues around it. If it happens, it happens. If not, no reflection on me, really.
However, my buddy is getting married, and he's pissed that I didn't like his girlfriend when I first met her. It's almost cost us our friendship. I might have to try really hard to salvage it. Different kind of brutal, but it has kind of sucked on the whole.

I had one of those years this past year. Of course I was included in the getting married thing. heh
I think we went to 6 weddings, not including mine.

For me it is the opposite, tons of long term relationships are breaking up. Though, it is all good for me, it just means more tang =) First time tang is 100 fold more interesting than tang you've had before more than 4 times.
There is one relationship I am really waiting on, a girl I know named Laura, the two of us talk all the time. She is absolutely perfect. Blonde hair, blue eyed, perfect pale complexion. She is so nice to me too, like she'll call me over just to have me taste a new blend of tea or something, and we will talk for hours. Most women are not worth talking to for more than 5 minutes. She is not a party girl though, much more traditional, she can cook VERY well, I love it! She is not a party girl though, this is unique, I am usually into very outgoing girls, she is much more quiet, though she keeps herself in excellent shape (we are in a running group together). If I was to have a serious relationship, it would be with her. Good thing/too bad she's not available =)
Despight her quiet nature, she has a strong energy about her. A love for all the life, art, and archetecture in this world. She is just someone so unique, having the virtues of beauty, intelligence, quiet confidence, master of tastes in both food and fashion, a delicate love of wine, and seemingly perpetual happiness. She has a similar background to my own, a father with wealth who absorbs himself in the pleasures the world has to offer. Though the two of us, her and I, we are of different natures, and yet so similar that it is always a great joy to speak to her.
(Now excuse me if I sound sexist, but the vast majority of women in this world are terrible to hold conversations with. Now men, it is in our nature to continuously brag, conversations can last hours and hours and hours, and many many drinks, and they are of pure bragging. We enjoy this, it is our language. Women, on the other hand, dislike the bragging. Woman, however, have a conversation pattern that they love and we hate, it is called bitching and whining! This is why men hate holding conversations with women. Laura does not possess either of these habbits of speech.)
Laura is the type of girl who makes everything I want seem trivial compared to what she wants. She never seems to want anything, she is always content with how things are going. This girl is a rare occurance for me, I do not think any girl has really made me feel this way before. I can consider myself lucky that she is not single.

I went to 4 this year and have 4 on the agenda for next year. I was a part of one of them this year and I bet I'll be a part of one this year.

So, I just finalized things broken off tonight..... Now I exchanged a perfectly fine brunette for a hotter blonde. Though both were really good kissers. Both were also fun light. I love fun light girls. Broke up with one the evening of 2006 (well, she broke up with me, but my ego ignores that), and found a new one early early early AM hours of 2007. I like the name Karen more so than Jackie anyways. I also dropped from 19 to 18, she can't get into bars, but she is still FUCKING cute! =)
