Breakdancing

Soooooo...
I'm not usually one to post life details on here. However this was extremely cool.
I just got back from a hip-hop show, one in which my roommate was performing. It was a pretty good show despite the audience being very sullen and somewhat not in a seeming mood to get the party started. I got somewhat annoyed with the audience and decided I was going to have fun anyway, and after all the acts were done and the house DJ was just spinning, I somehow decided I was going to start breakdancing.
Which I've never done before. Not even once. But I've done some capoeira, so I figured maybe I could fake it.
I actually ended up getting on the floor three times and doing some moves in front of everybody - I did it the first time and some teenagers were watching and liked it, so they had me go again. I can't be sure I didn't look completely goofy, but I gave myself props on about a two-second handstand freeze I did at the end of the third one (which got a few muted sounds of interest from the crowd before they lapsed back into the same disinterest with which they'd watched the pretty awesome hip-hop acts).
It's not like I went out and had a full-on 80's-style Earth-Girls-Are-Easy dance battle (which would admittedly have been SWEET), but I don't really think I embarassed myself - I'm sure people would have been laughing if I'd really sucked, it being Hollywood and all. And it's not like I did anything on a level to compete with YouTube videos of breaker crews, but the sweet thing was that I had *no* idea I could even dance that way at all, or fake it, and yet somehow moves came out of me! Teh sweetness.
I have to say it was about as much fun as I've had recently with clothes on. (Actually, since I haven't cared much about dating lately, it was as much fun as I've had with them off, too, sad as it is to say.) Definitely might have to look into this further!
