Blah, the people didn't really have a "choice", just like California didn't have a choice to not vote for Arrrrnold. It's a celebrity vote that had to do with how popular a person she was, not if she would make a good senator for the state she was representing.
Many people who vote don't even know what the fuck they are voting for. After all, if you don't know who the dog catcher is, why the hell would you vote for him? People make uninformed decisions in the voting booth all the time. Shit, look who we have for president for the last 7 years. Democracy is a fucking joke.
Look at who we are going to vote for on the Democratic side. It's either going to be Obama or Hillary. Why? Popularity. It has nothing to do with anything else, like if there are better people to vote for. (Bill Richardson comes to mind.)

I used to think my friends who told me that men are intimidated by powerful women were being overly paranoid (and I told them that often). After watching Hillary, seeing Carly Fiorina, and others, I'm now I'm positive that in many cases, they are exactly right.
There are other politicians that aren't so damn blatant about it. It has nothing to do with being a "powerful woman". It has more to do with being a "power-hungry woman", and that's a dangerous person to have in the White House, woman or man.
