Interesting guy. Very interesting. He won't win, but he's the guy I wish could win. His party (Republicans) desperately want to shut him up though.

Well, for starters, she waltz into a state she has never lived in and takes the senate seat. Nothing like picking where you live based on how likely it is that you'll win a seat in politics.Ishamael wrote:Why is Hillary Clinton a bitch? "Waltzed in"? She was voted in. The people of her district had a choice and they voted for her. How does that make her a bitch?SineSwiper wrote:Well, for starters, she waltz into a state she has never lived in and takes the senate seat. And how does that make her different from 100% of the other politicians out there?SineSwiper wrote: She's solely going after this presidency for her own personal gain and power. She's the kind of person that needs poll results to answer any question or vote on any subject. Her voting record is straight down party lines, just like that bloated old Ted Kennedy.
Blah, the people didn't really have a "choice", just like California didn't have a choice to not vote for Arrrrnold. It's a celebrity vote that had to do with how popular a person she was, not if she would make a good senator for the state she was representing.Ishamael wrote:"Waltzed in"? She was voted in. There are other politicians that aren't so damn blatant about it. It has nothing to do with being a "powerful woman". It has more to do with being a "power-hungry woman", and that's a dangerous person to have in the White House, woman or man.Ishamael wrote:And how does that make her different from 100% of the other politicians out there?
I used to think my friends who told me that men are intimidated by powerful women were being overly paranoid (and I told them that often). After watching Hillary, seeing Carly Fiorina, and others, I'm now I'm positive that in many cases, they are exactly right.
The "powerful" vs. "power-hungry" debate is also the reason that, unless I take a really hard look at the situation and end up reassessing it someow, I also will not vote for Hillary. Personally, I really like Obama and will probably end up voting for him.SineSwiper wrote: There are other politicians that aren't so damn blatant about it.
