Maybe I shouldn't be so happy about this, but Gonzales was such a piece of work, and firmly in the thrall of the neocons.

I found it sad that the first Latino attorney general was such a complete waste, but that's kind of a lot of Bush's cabinet. Apparently Bush was more committed to racial equality than to actually finding people who could do the job without massive human rights violations and corresponding incompetency. I approve of the tendency towards racial equality, but still, man, feeling some real joy, joy, joy that this fucker is heading out.

Now we just wait for the next W. puppet to be installed.

I actually found myself upset about this... why? Because now the asstard gets to walk away from this scott-free. He won't have to answer for his crimes (that he doesn't recall and wouldn't know why he did it) and will just go on to a very lucrative career elsewhere, either as an advisor, or a speaker, or something... totally off the hook and what do we get? To wait and see how much worse his replacement will be.

Really starting to get pissed off at how much we let the government get away with these days...
