Big Ten NETWORK?

has anyone noticed this Big Ten Network before?? Apparently they have their own fucking TV channel now and I couldn't watch the PSU game today because it was exclusively on there and NO ONE but DirecTV even OFFERS it.
How fucking stupid is that? Alienating most of your fucking audience... good job Big Ten. I pray they don't do this often... otherwise I'mma gonna be pissed.

That's my point... I don't care if they want their own channel... but when nearly NO ONE carries the damned thing why not still let the normal channels carry it too?

UP here, the Leafs (the centre of the hockey universe despite what Gray will tell you :-) have their own channel. They can EASILY sell the rights for millions to any network but choose to force 24 of their 82 games on their own, subscribe-only network to drum up business for that network and suck even more money from their fans (by forcing you to subscribe if you wanna watch the games, which A LOT of people do). The Big Ten is popular enough I can imagine it's the same idea.

It's utterly and completely retarded. Sometimes it seems like sports execs (college AND pro) go out of their way to piss off their fanbases.

cable company has it now..part of the Classic package, you dont pay extra if you have that package, which most ppl do.
