Got to love it when politicians completely undermine the integrity of any particular political institution in one fell swoop.

I must be missing something... what's so bad about this? The state's Hall of Fame picked him months before the scandal... but even with the scandal he did a lot for the state in the past 20 years that they feel he deserves this. Are we chiding them for not taking it away from him? Or for that no-name Republican guy also mentioned in there saying they should postpone things?

I'm chiding him for being a politician that I firmly believe is queer as a jaybird and yet having a 20-year record of claiming he's not one and of voting against gay rights, but that might just be me. I think he lacks courage and is a hypocrite, and that doesn't say "Hall of Fame" to me. It says "our state's political process is more backwards than the baseball caps Kris Kross used to wear."

It's a running gag that everyone but him is in on... he's held press conferences in the past just to tell everyone he's not gay. Who the fuck does that? He wasn't being attacked; no one was claiming he was gay-- he just wanted to make sure no one thought he was gay.... because the more you deny it the truer it becomes.
Haha politicians like him are so much fun. It distracts us from being depressed about the other ones that are doing real harm...

I wonder if he's actually like a good Senator, aside from the whole "closet gay and I pass legislation persecuting them" thing.
