That show is losing me quick. I'm only hanging on hoping that the fucking Bount arc will end soon (no, I won't skip it) and there's SOMETHING good waiting for me on the other side. I don't know what genius thought it would be a good idea to have a 40+ episode filler, it's WAY worse than the 1-10 episode filler arcs in Naruto. At least they got it over with quickly and you needed another half episode to hate the new one. The Bount one is pure torture.

Not to thread jack... but I liked the Bounto arc and I didn't really consider it filler because of its length and it's not totally forgotten later in the show.

That being said you're REALLY behind and after the Bounto arc the main story picks back up and oh is it juicy. I'm on Episode 147 or so right now and it's getting pretty intense.

Be patient-- it's worth the wait.

You guys are slow. I've already gotten to the latest episode (152) and check youtube for the newest releases. For some reason, there's a youtube channel that gets them a day or two before dattebayo.

And like Tessian, I too enjoyed the Bounto arc. If it's filler, it's pretty high quality filler. I think Zeus is more bothered by the fact that he knows it's supposed be filler and fillers by definition suck and thus the Bount Arc sucks. But really, it's pretty good stuff, IMO.

It sucks to be back in the mode of waiting for new eps every week though. Oh well, at least my productivity has gone back up.

That's why I stay at least a few episodes behind-- so I always have an episode to watch if I want to.

Ish, I actually didn't know it was a filler arc until a few eps in. I notice the severe drop off in quality (albiet about one-fifth the drop off in quality of Naruto) and asked the question here in M&M to confirm my suspicions. You can check M&M for that thread.

It's a painful arc. The only reason it took me so long to notice that it was filler (I'd say about 5 eps in) is because I don't think that Bleach is that great of an anime to begin with. I had actually stopped watching it to watch a superior anime in Yakitate Japan. So even though the Bounto filler is no better than the Ino-as-a-princess filler for Naruto, the difference in quality is far less severe so it doesn't APPEAR as bad. But it's still bad, very bad.

OK, maybe I was being a little hard with the Ino reference, that was amazingly bad. But IMO the Bounto arc is no better than the first Naruto movie, and that wasn't anything to write home about. The fact that it's 40+ eps long is what's making it killer.

You wouldn't be Zeus if you didn't have a fucked up sense of tastes for music, movies, anime, and TV.

I didn't enjoy Bleach's filler either, but to compare it to the steaming pile of horseshit that was the Naruto filler is ridiculous.

At least Bleach's filler is an actual Arc, it has a plot, it has substance, it has a beginning/middle/end, granted the 3 little kiddie dolls they added to appeal to kids for $$$ is a little cheesey but meh, what cha gonna do?
