<div style='font: ; text-align: left; '>Is programming really necessary? I really wanted to major in Computer Science, but I can't stand programming and math really isn't one of my strongest subjects... So I'm looking into Telecommunications or something like that right now. When I was looking through some of the cirruculum at some schools, I notice that it doesn't involve heavy programming. Will it hurt in the future that I can't program?</div>

<div style='font: 11pt Dominion; text-align: left; '>Like my major, IST, it emphasizes on things that will allow you to easily pick up languages in the future rather than focusing on a language now that'll be outdated in the future.</div>

information systems technology, is my guess. IMO telecommunications would be a much better major...

<div style='font: 12pt "Cooper Black"; text-align: left; '>i just graduated and i know a lot of guys that have IT and CS degrees who are jobless. The market is flooded and IT or CS isnt specific enough. Its like a business admin major and a operations major going for the same operation-esque type job, the more specific major will usually win.
Do some reseacrch first, of course, but you'll probably find that you'll like telecom better as you'll more useful in the work world after graduation.</div>

<div style='font: 10pt verdana; text-align: left; padding: 0% 10% 0% 10%; '>And I know CS people with degrees who aren't jobless. Then again, I know some who are. Don't pick your major based on job availability. Base it on what you like doing or studying.</div>
