so guys.....I need advice from some of ya'll who have had web pages of your own.....what is....the best......web hosting serivice to be found. I'm lookin aroudn to hopefully find something totally freaking awesome and am wanting imput from those of ya'll who've had yer own pages and business and all that shit....any advice? Key things are decent bandwitch and quality...price...mot so much of an issue....damnit....I put it in the wrong forum......fucking crap

I really like Dreamhost, and used them for a long time while I had a site. Sine's parents use them for their company site.
The Shrine is on a virtual private server. Basically we get a rented server to do what we want with.

While that place looks great, Barret, I believe you're looking way above what Chris is looking for. I don't think he's looking for a dedicated web server... I assume you're looking more in the $5-$25/month range, Chris?

I'm lookin to start cheap. but I still need t be able to host video and audio so size and bandwidth limits are important for some of the stuff we're doing. but yeah you are thinkin correct. at this point seraph is on the right track.

Nowadays, bandwidth limits are much better than they used to be, but they still exist. keep an eye on the audio/video streams, and favor downloading files (versus streaming) as much as possible. If it's not live, there's no point in streaming the thing.
