Another idea based around taking input from the phone and matching it within a database.

My sister has a phone with that music database matching service. I didn't think it would really be all that interesting, but it did match just about any song I would throw at it. (Not some of the indie stuff, but some really obscure songs.) She's found some really little known South African band from some clip on TV.

That's missing the point, I think. Their tech demo is all about how that information is presented to the user.
