The signing happened in the school I worked at from 99-2000. I know the Chief, Joe Rabesca, personally actually as I taught both his kids.
This makes the Tli Cho, Dogrib, band probably the richest first nation group in North America. 2 Diamond mines, a Huge road project and guess where the Mackenzie Delta Oil pipeline is going to run? That's right, directly through that 39,000 square kilometers of native owned land.
I just hope that they use their newfound fortune wisely. Note: they've already voted AGAINST building a Casino.</div>

<div style='font: 12pt ; text-align: left; '>Pretty much the same deal Nunavut got, they are semi-autonimous but have more control over their Natural Resources than the provinces do.</div>
