Just in case any of you didn't notice ;) I've been waiting for it for a while, but totally forgot it came out today.

http://mozilla.org

It's pretty damn smooth. Slick looking and supposed to be one hell of an efficient system. Poor IE7 hasn't even caught up to Firefox 2...

edit-- url fixed; that'll teach me to post links when I'm about to go to bed..

The release candidates have been very crashy for me. Hopefully the official release is a bit better.

Ive been playing with the beta and RC's for a while. I really like it, except for the new history bar, however, I've gotten used to it. I prefer the old one address per line history bar without the website titles.

Yeah the new history bar is kind of annoying.

Was there a History menu option in between View and Bookmarks in the last version? I dont really like that, makes it even easier for people using my comp to see where ive been. Not that that isnt hard info to get, but right there makes it too easy.

It's not called a history bar-- it's the AWESOME BAR, and apparently if you give it time it will learn where you normally go and be able to more accurately tell where you're trying to go in the future.

There's always the option to "clear History each time I close Firefox"... if you're concerned about the spouse seeing your albino midget foot porn fetish you might wanna do that anyway

LoL I am FAR from fanboyish/fanatical about it. I think it's a good solid browser, but I'm not going to gloat about it or try to convince everyone and their mother to use it. If someone's got valid problems with it then that's fine, I just think it's a cool product and didn't want you guys discrediting it for the wrong reasons :P

So please... don't compare me to Seek; I don't spoon with Firefox or dream about felatting its creators like him ;)

In Seeker's defense, Shigeru Miyamoto is an adorable man. He's like a Pokemon.

I bet if he squeezes his cheeks, lightning comes out.

To change the history style:

First, install this: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... h?q=oldbar

Next, go to the address bar and type in "about:config"

Ignore the warning and continue. Look for browser.urlbar.matchOnlyTyped and double click it to set it to true.
