It was at the local art gallery. He did some readings, particularly from his recent book Ysabel. As well as a number of poems. In addition he discussed his process for writing; it is more or less a process of writing in the afternoon and evenings, and then re-written the next day. He re-reads his work often to keep his ideas fresh. This is his process, but he states that there is no real way to do it, writers have to figure out their own strategies. Many are more comfortable doing it in a process of spending months to years spitting out ideas in pages and pages of notes and journals, then spending some time to bring it all together; all before they even write the first page. He spoke on writers block, stating he gets mini-blocks almost every single paragraph, but generally always knows where he wants to go, just not entirely sure how the scenes will play out to get there.

Not surprising, the place was packed with a very attentive and appreciative audience. I think he must have sold about 300 books, the copies of the Fionavar Tapestry went very quickly (I managed to get a copy for signing purposes).
