I try to share some of the more exciting things I learn working in underground hip hop in L.A. for awhile (i.e., meeting someone who used to have an Interscope deal and chatting with him for awhile, and also knowing someone who happens to know 2Pac's estate lawyer) and get mocked, so, whatever. This site is dead, maybe I should just let it die instead of trying so hard to come back and chill and apologize and be decent.

My question is, if not the above then who killed him? Suge Knight? Rival gang? Government assassination?

There are a few people like Tupac who really reach out and gain people to flock to them like lost souls to a messiah. These people always seem to die. Why wasn't there an investigation? There must have been 700 whitnesses and the cops couldn't even be bothered to try. Anyway, Pac's music spoke true to many, and he could incite people if he wanted; similar to Lennon. He had amazing talent and was one of the best songwriters of all time; essentially blueprinted how hiphop was going to be from then on out. He was the first rapper to have interesting stories in his lyrics too, something Eminen an other rappers would capitalize on later. He still sells a lot too, and always new material pops up.
