I really need to find something better to do with my life than political blogging, but at least years of arguing with Sine has given me some game for when Godwin's Law inevitably comes into play.

Ahh political arguments... the only time where you can take ANY event in history, nit pick out about 10% of the facts that support your case and forget the rest.

The economical climate in Germany post WW2 was such that won't really happen again... you're talking a world war where the winners punish the losers to the point where their population is so impoverished that they'll listen to any charismatic leader on a soap box who promises better.

You and my father-in-law should meet up. He is quite literally a right-winged political troll. He's a pretty level-headed and intelligent guy, but since he's retired, FOX News and poking and prodding people at sites like Newshounds are what he lives for.

You know when you're working tech support at an ISP, and somebody asks about how to get his IP changed to remove a web site ban? He's that guy.

Shit, I was talking to an old Mexican girlfriend once, and she put her new boyfriend on IRC to chat with me once while she went to the bathroom, and even that guy basically started blaming me for everything white people have ever done to Mexico, from the Mexican-American War all the way down to maquiladoras.
