I can not believe that he got away with that. Have we ever actually had a President of the U.S. with this kind of a sense of humor before?

For those who don't know, Michael Steele is the new and first African-American Chairman of the Republican National Committee, a pretty high-status Republican position. I guess he's been trying to use some hip-hop slang lately to try to appeal to young people, which is kind of funny in and of itself, but, man, that was a roast.

Is it just me or is Obama getting to be more relaxed and at ease with the press over the last month or so? Dude reminds me of someone you might hear talking to you on the basketball court. I like it, and I also like that this is the first President I'm actually tempted to use the word "dude" to describe.

It's about time politicians dragged their act kicking and screaming into the 90s.

The way I figure Obama figures it, he's in uncharted territory being the first black president so he can "get away" with things others would be far too afraid to do. His voter base ain't 45-65 year-old white people, he doesn't have to worry about the word 'wazzup' offending the people who supported him.

Can we stop referring to Obama as the "first black president" sometime soon? Because he's really 50% black and 50% white. If we're going based on that, then there have been a few presidents with black ancestors (if some sources are to be believed). Yes, Obama has darker skin, but it just feels like a stupid media tagline every time I hear it. I don't care what his "race" is, to be honest. If a person is qualified, they deserve to be president regardless of race or anything else, but it's been irritating me since the election. :)

We just gotta eliminate them. White people, black people, brown people, yellow people, get rid of 'em all. All we need is a voluntary, free spirited, open-ended program of procreative racial deconstruction. Everybody just gotta keep fuckin' everybody til they're all the same color.

I can get on board with that.

It's part of a rant from Bulworth. Probably my favorite line in the movie. Great film, btw.

I personally don't care if he's purple but that's not what I was talking about. It's still a very big turning point in American politics. It may not matter to 70% of us but to the other 30% who comprise of 70% of the old voting base, it's a big fucking deal. And I like his approach to it, ignoring these stupid little "the president should act like this" bullshit.

Hehe, I liked that last bit on Dick Cheney. "How to shoot friends and interrogate people".
