The city isn't what it used to be.
It all happened so fast.
Everything went to crap.
It's like, everyone's sense of morals just...disappeared.
The bad economy made things worse.
Jobs started drying up.
More and more people turned to crime and violence!
The town becomes gripped with fear.
Dark times...

The city needs protection.
There is an animal that lives by night.
Searches through trash cans and cleans out the garbage.
To clean the trash can of society I've become more than a man.
I am the hero this town needs.
I am...

The Coon.

This is a sign that people are blind to crimes happening in front of their eyes. Criminals can easily get away with raping a woman in broad daylight in front of thousands of people and nobody interjecting. It's happened several times before.

It's sad that takes somebody dressing up in a costume to identify themselves as somebody who can step in. I don't want to turn this into a gun debate, but one could argue that if more people felt that they were powerful enough to stop a criminal, they would.

This is the greatest goddamn thing I've ever heard of.

Though most of those costumes are pretty lame, Geist looks fuckin' bad-ass. Holy shit, I don't want to fuck with that guy.

Realistically, I dunno. The world doesn't operate in a manner condusive to superheroes. There isn't a swath of violent crime in dark allies to afford a masked man dealing out justice with bare fists. Most crimes occur indoors, in homes and away from the prying eye.

However, it is cool that most of the time these guys are just helping out homeless people and charities.

...fucking hell, I don't care, we have god damned masks patrolling the streets. About fucking time.

But, who watches the Watchmen? (Besides, more than likely, the cops.)

Judging from how, uh, lumpy some of those "heroes" are, I'd say gravity.

Aw, burn.

I guess you're not particularly worried about them coming for you in the dead of night, then. :)

I didn't look at them all when I first read the article...now I did.

Not that impressive a lot, but I do actually have to say that if I was ne'er doing well and saw Mr. Ravenblade coming at me at the street, I'd probably gulp. Dude looks pretty aight, for a vigilante.
