Just a friendly fyi from lots of experience, Disney World sucks ass. Disney Land is where it's at - for kids and kids at heart.

I'm not sure if it's just that the entire workforce at DW is long time and thus, totally jaded and lazy, but the vibe at Disney World sucks. Avoid it. Unless you and Sine want to do a little swinging, in which case, I heartily recommend one of the Disney Cruises :)

I have been to both, and I agree, Disney Land is much better, but just going to DW is expensive enough, not adding in the cost of going to California too.

Also, George Lucas can go to hell and have some demon burn his dick off.

You dislike American Graffiti, Indiana Jones 1 and 3, and Star Wars 4 to 6?

What? You think that George Lucas somehow didn't give his permission to have this failed abortion of a Disney show be spawned into existance?

What I was trying to do was show you how much joy the man has brought you so you and the many nerd flamers can get this Lucas hatred out of your heads. He's done more good stuff that you love than "ruining your childhood". And his company not only tolerates the fan-made stuff, they foster it.

EDIT: Speaking of ruining childhoods, are you looking forward to the new G.I. Joe movie?

While his appreciation for his fans IS a saving grace for him, Lucas himself has taken ELABORATE and GREAT pains to try and ruin all good cred we could give to him.

Simply put, when I was a kid, George Lucas was a god amongst men who created Star Wars as a gift from heaven unto us unwavering mortals. Now? He's an unoriginal hack who had a few great ideas when he was young (and on drugs) and has done nothing since but recycle them and, somehow, make them WORSE.

I won't say that a lot of the hatedom is not unfounded, because it is on many points, but George Lucas has FAILED. He has failed multiple, multiple times, consistently, constantly, and thoroughly, in so many endeavors that you can say, with decent accuracy, that in the past twenty years, he has done NOTHING but fail--and yet make money off it.

If you really want me to bring in the low blows, need I remind everyone here about the horror that was Harold the Duck?

Never seen Harold The Duck. But I actually didn't mind the Lucasarts film Howard The Duck from the 80s that was based on an old comic. Not a classic or anything but it was enjoyable as a 12 year old. Willow was another of his 80s flicks that was pretty damned good too.

Whether he's failed or not is a matter of taste. I don't loathe SW Eps 1 to 3 like so many nerds do. Yes, I dislike Jar Jar like everyone else, but I can deal with that. I didn't like the cardboard acting by Portman or Christensen in eps 2 and 3, but Neeson, McDermond (Palpatine), and especially McGregor were excellent. And to me, each one was better than the one before it.

And more recently, the SW games have been excellent. Not to mention he doesn't hurt and even helps out stuff like Fanboys.

God, the prequel movies aren't just bad Star Wars movies, they are bad films IN GENERAL. They are overrun by cliches and awkward dialogue and poor writing and--especially in the THIRD movie--some of the worst dramatic pacing I have EVER seen in a film.

And Howard, Harold, big fucking dif. Point still stands that Lucas hasn't done anything NEARLY as good as his original SW and Indiana Jones trilogies.

Willow? Really? That was made by George Lucas? Well...ok. Um...look, I liked Willow and all...but that movie wasn't that great. A midget protecting a baby from an evil queen. Ehhh...

I think when Lucas directs or produces, it's not bad. When you give him a pen and he writes shit, it ends up being terrible. Yes, there are some flukes, but it's the exception that proves the rule.
