I know a few of you in the past have follow the NFL. You guys still out there? Few topics I'd like to get an opinion on:

- Vikings: anyone think they're for real? Their defense is pretty good and if you have both Peterson and Favre all year, they're as good as anyone except maybe the Giants in the NFC

- T.O. in Buffalo: what's the over-under on him running his mouth against the quarterback and O coordinator now that his streak is broken? I say one more week, maybe two if he becomes the focal point of their O next week

- Steelers: they're 1-2, still think they can repeat? They play very well when they need to, I still say they have as good a chance as any in the AFC

- AFC East: Pats should be 1-2. Are they still an elite team? They will win the East since Buffalo looks inept, Pennigton is now gone for the season in Miami, and the Jets shouldn't keep it up for long. But does anyone else from that division even make it in? No real dominant team in the AFC so they have a chance even if Brady has looked just OK

- Titans: not doing too hot. Do they even make the playoffs?

- 49ers: are they for real?

I don't know about the Jets. They're, of course, bound to lose some time, but I see them having a really good season.

New England isn't that great this year, which is expected. It's probably going to take a season to get back in the groove after his shoulder injury. I'm not expecting great things from them.

The Steelers have been losing games they had no business losing. I think they'll win this Sunday, but if the trend continues, they're going to have a tough season. They could win the division, but they could also just as easily not which brings me to my next point...

Why no Ravens love??? ;) Our defense isn't as good as it has been, but our offense is doing great. Granted, this Sunday will be the first real test, but I think we're going to win. And that's not just because they're my home team. It's really between the Ravens and the Steelers for the AFC North, imo, so it'll be an exciting season. I can't wait for the 2 Ravens-Steelers games this year!

Saints would look like a dominate team the year I give up my season tickets.

LMAO! Figures, huh? That's why I can't make any headway up here on the Leafs season ticket roster. No one wants to let go of their tickets even after 4 years of not making the playoffs (in hockey, almost 60% of the teams make the playoffs, it's sad if you don't) just in case they happen to get good and they lose out on a gold mine.

Pats did pretty good last year without the glorified Trent Dilfer (Brady) and I think they'll have a hard time besting that record this year (and they did it with a 7th round pick QB who had never played a game before). Remember, they should be 1-2 right now. Their strength wasn't the QB but rather the team around him and that's finally starting to weaken this year, particularly on defense. Now that the Jets have shown how easy it is to keep them from scoring touchdowns, it's gonna be a lot harder for them to roll through people. They're just lucky they're in a weak division.

Ravens have to prove it against a good team first. If their O can score like that against the Steelers, then we're talking. We'll revisit them in a couple of weeks.

And even after their 1-2 start, I don't think anyone believes the Steelers ain't makin' the playoffs or even winning the division. They're too good with too much recent history with the team to falter IMO. They're still one of the top 2 or 3 teams to beat in the AFC

Ugh. In DC we are sick over the Redskins... its painful and i dont want to get into it because im hoping by out bye week we can still be 4 and 3. We have the bucs, panthers, chiefs, and eagles, then our bye. We need to win them all but will probably lose to the eagles. Losing to the lions is embarassing.

Speaking of the Chiefs, i knew Cassel was just a product of New Englands quarterback friendly system. He is sucking in Kansas City this year. Granted, the rest of the team is dreadful, but his numbers are awful.

Flip, if you guys end up 3-4 by the bye, consider yourselves lucky. Panthers aren't doing well but they're not horrid and the Eagles are pretty strong. Bucs looked weak against Buffalo and are in shambles right now (they just demoted Leftwich) so that should be an easy one for ya. Chiefs? Very winnable too but that team could turn it on on a whim. 'Skins ain't an elite team so they're gonna have to earn that one.

And losing to the Lions ain't horrible. It had to end at some point for them, they're not THAT bad. Although I liked how they went out and celebrated with their fans afterwards. Good move on their part for the ridiculous suffering they went through.

Yeah, Cassel has been invisible. But to be fair, the Chiefs have always been very hard on QBs. So he goes from arguably the easiest place to play QB to one of the worst. He's an average QB at best, more like a strong backup, he's gonna struggle.

Anyone else get the feeling that the league is being a little overprotective of their pretty boy after losing him for the season last year?

Ray Lewis thinks so and I agree. :)

Sucks that the Ravens lost. I put the majority of the blame on Butterfingers Clayton. Ugh. At least it was close and very exciting and it means that we could still beat them the next time.

How about them awful Titans though, huh? Phew.

And the Jets took a loss like I thought they would. Go NO!

For the record this guy comes dressed up as something different every week and has been doing it for a long time now.

During the Monica Lewinsky thing he came to the game dressed up as Clinton in Saints boxer shorts, and we all know how long ago that was. :p
