The Shrine

I just found out from my dad that he had to take my mom to the hospital. She has pneumonia in both lungs. She hadn't been feeling well for several days so my dad decided to take her to the hospital to get her checked out. It's aparently pretty severe, and when I ask my dad any questions on how the situation looks he says she is pretty bad. I'm hoping they caught it early enough that its not life threatening, but I haven't really been able to ask as our chances to talk have been very brief.

And on top of that I cant even go to visit her as both me and my wife are sick as well with some other bug that has been going around here. Its not the flu as both of our swabs turned out negitive, but has all the symptoms of the flu, spiking fevers, coughing, chills, achiness.

So mom's in the hospital and I cant even go visit her, which makes it even more frustrating. I'm still sick, but my doctor's note is up, so I have to go back to work tomorrow anyway, and on top of that I have this worry about my mom in the back of my head. I have the feeling that its going to be a long day tomorrow.

It seems like this season's flu is especially severe. A lot of people at where I work is getting sick too. Hopefully eveything works out okay for you.

That's fucking horrible, man. Constantly worrying without even being able to go and visit. Hopefully you guys get over your sickness soon and you can go and visit your momma. I'm sure she'd very much appreciate that, too.
