A big thank you to Rep. John Shadegg (R-Ariz.)...

...for bringing your INFANT CHILD to work (yes, that means a session of the House) to claim in front of a C-SPAN video camera to claim that your toddler, who can't actually even talk yet "loves freedom", "enjoys healthcare", and therefore the House should vote down the healthcare bill.

You know what? Fuck this. I'm running against Elton Gallegly (R-Calif.) as an independent in the next election down here, just so I can yell at him like a little boy in the local papers and run self-made negative viral campaign ads about the GOP. The worst I can do is lose, but watching this shit on TV is making my eyes bleed.

Jon Stewart summarizes it nicely from last night. The part about the baby is around 4:15 but the entire clip is worth watching.

I loved the dude who said "Members are reminded not to use guests of the House as props."

What, that's unusual. A politician using grandstanding techniques that only very remotely relate to the point to try and sway public opinion. Never seen that before.....
