Yep. Conservatives stick together, liberals hate each other as much as they hate the other side.

No. Conservatives do not care about the truth, as long as their party is winning. Liberals do not care about their party, as long as the truth is winning.

It's an over-generalization, but more or less fits well.

Not exactly. Ask Conservatives, they think they're getting the truth and it's the truth that gives them comfort. Liberals think that the truth is hidden and they have to dig for it, often times being cynical because of it even towards like-minded people

Isn't that what I said? The truth is not "simple", especially in politics. The truth is complex, which requires actual journalism.

No, you said that Conservatives "don't care about the truth" not that "they don't question what's presented to them to get the real truth". Major difference

Actual journalism will only occur if people demand it. The reason all media engaged in style of substance is because their viewers don't demand anything more. They only want the quick, 5-second, one-shot answer. No debate, no arguing of many different points of view. People are too damned wrapped up in their lives to give a shit.

One who does not question the truth is ultimately doomed to not care about it. Whether it is willful ignorance or not does not matter.

Not at all. You're making a whole whack of additional assumptions there, such as:

- the capability of the person to be able to question. This requires a certain level of intelligence
- a certain amount of cynicism of the person to believe that they're being lied to. Not everyone believes everyone else is corrupt and needs to be questioned
- the difference between truths and non-truths are clear-cut enough that you can identify without a doubt what is or is not the truth

You can (and often do) have intelligent people who analyze and even question the "truth" and still have a conservative mentality. With your definitions, that's not possible yet it occurs all the time.
