Apparently they think it was a cocktail of prescription drugs, just like with Heath Ledger - different drugs, but same kind of thing.
Big Pharma sucks. I have to say it. Let's have Hollywood do a spot : "Bristol-Squibb-Meyers! We kill your favorite movie stars."
One star could be considered a coincidence, but between this, Heath, and Michael Jackson...this Dr. Feelgood shit we're all on has got to stop. It's time to stop scapegoating individual doctors when it's a massive problem throughout the industry, too. I realize that it's incumbent on people to have enough personal responsibility to realize taking ten different meds is dangerous, but doctors tell people this kind of thing is okay. The healthcare industry has more or less tried to kill me with pills as well, and rather against my personal preference - thank God I knew enough to turn down some of the things I was offered (and even was once threatened by a psychiatrist if I didn't take).
May all rotten doctors rot themselves. Sorry, but I'm a little bitter. Our healthcare industry, just like a lot of things in this country, kills in the name of money at this point.
