I think I'm going to have to do the User Posting Styles myself. The new version 3 is stable enough to write a MOD for now.

Looking back at my list, there are some other things I could do, too:

Spacing Correction (Removes the extra spacing between quote/code boxes, and adds the ability to type two spaces after a period.) - Need to do this
Remove "Thank You" Screens - Yes, this is an annoyance right now.
L.M.O.A.E.V. Checked by Default - Yeah, this is still annoying; and this is an easy MOD
Country/Browser/OS/IM Icons - Still might be cool to implement
Improved Stats - Same here; I miss having the more detailed stats, even if I haven't needed it in a while
Avatar On Index - Might be useful, but low priority
Default avatar - Again, this was a handy feature. I need to check that it doesn't already exist.
Last Topic - Again, might be useful, but low priority
Login Box At Overall Header - Useful, but not all that important

Was planned for version 2, but isn't necessary:

Spoiler BBCode - Already implemented in version 3.
Invision-style Fast Reply - Already implemented in version 3.
SpellCheck - Not worth implementing. One, the browser itself already spell checks the forms, and two, I think there are already MODs out there for this.
HTML Tag Security Levels - Nah. Might as well concede that everybody should be using BBCode, especially with the custom codes available. (Even though you can still lockdown HTML to be secure.
Bigger Textbox - Not necessary, seems to already be implemented.
Reason for Ban - Already implemented in version 3.
Human Format Time Zones - Already implemented in version 3.
15 Minute Who is Online - This is controllable now.
Fast Avatar Resize Mod - Not necessary; avatars are much better in version 3
Death to Radio Buttons - Didn't really see many radio buttons
Topic Preview (In the View Forums screen, you will be able to click on the actual topic icon, and it will show the beginning part of the last 50 posts, similar to Show/Hide Threads button on RPGBoard.) - This is mostly useless in the "semi-threaded" topics.
E-Mail Reply to Author - Prone to security risks, and probably not useful to anybody

Was in RPGBoard, but never planned for phpBB:

File Attachments - Already implemented in version 3.
Tier-based Forum System - Nah, it's ultimately an inferior MB style.
Backgrounds - Most of this is in the UPS MOD, but I left out actual background images to save my sanity (as well as everybody else's). It's bad enough to try to deal with background colors on their own.
Dupe Protection - Should already be in phpBB V3. (Need to test this.)
Longer Subjectline - Unlike the NT posting frenzies of the old threaded-style MBs, long subjectlines are no longer needed. Besides the main topic, hardly anybody uses subjects.
Save Messages - Browsers are more stable now; probably not necessary.
Message Tags - The main reason for message tags was mainly for spoilers, but the Spoiler BBCode will fix that. Besides, you wouldn't be able to put in message tags for anything but the primary message.
Undeleting Messages - Unline the old threaded-style MBs, the "burning of thread trees" isn't nearly as common, so the likelyhood of deleting a message that you didn't need to delete is very low. Combined with admins opting to edit bad messages or lock unwanted topics, it's all the reason I need to not implement this somewhat hard-to-code feature.
Mailing List to Forum Bridge - Despite the great possibilities for this feature, it was hardly ever used at all. Also, mailing lists that would need it are shrinking in number.
NNTP/Newsgroup Support - See above.
Ignore List - Should already be in phpBB V3, as a Friend/Foe list.
Custom Bio Entries - Already in v3.
Header Styles - What? This isn't a threaded-style MB any more...
User Moderation - Should already be in phpBB V3.
Thread Modes - Everybody is using "semi-threaded" now. Get used to it! (For the record, I don't think anybody bothered to use Hybrid mode, anyway.)
Message Cache - No need; PHP is a lot faster than Perl on the web (as much as I hate to admit). Besides, there is already a style cache.
Keyboard-typo SpellChecker - A bad idea that didn't match too many words, anyway.
Profile Search Engine - This may already be implemented in phpBB V3, anyway. (Need to check)

It would be neat if the forum acted like video game progression, like new guys could only change their avatars after 100 posts, after 200 posts you could have custom signatures...etc.
