Should be Pitt against Wash in the East but the West is a lot more open. I'd like to say Canucks but they haven't proven jack. The Sharks feel like they're on their way to another first round loss and Phoenix is just far better than anyone wants to give them credit for. So I'll say it's Chicago against Phoenix in the West. Wash should win the cup over Chicago

Caps and Pens will meet in the 2nd round again unless there's an upset in the east. Best bet for an upset is probably Philly over Devils. Hopefully you're right that the Blackhawks come out of the west 'cause I have all of Kane Toews Hossa and Versteeg in my playoff pool.

Well the Blues aren't in the playoffs and with JD's comments to the STL media it looks like they won't be in the market for Ilya or Patrick Marleau so we're not going to get any scoring help. I am impressed though with the play of David Perron who now has the #1 goal of the season. Take that Ovechkin, Malkin, Crosby, Ilya, Nash, etc.
I've been keeping up with a hockey blog out of Toronto that is absolutely hilarious. http://www.downgoesbrown.com . They did a google commercial parody and I decided to make my own as well.
I think Colorado will lose in the first round but next season they will dominate. Matt and Chris are fucking hoss's on the ice but the problem will be the Blueline as the coach tends to bench Kyle Quincy and John Michael-Liles a lot for no reason. They've had a horrible March and April, but I see that the team in the west that wants it more than anything would be Chicago and Phoenix. I don't think anyone else can win the Conference other than these two teams. Dany Heatley will disappear much like he did in Ottawa and Thorton will do the same like in Boston so SJ is out in the 2nd round.
In the East, I'd love for Philly to win but the problem is that they have the same problem the Blues have had the last 12 years. They can't seem to find that thing that stops the net, oh wait, what is that called? Oh yeah a GOALTENDER! Emery I thought was great then he got hurt, then they fired the coach, then someone slept with Hartnell's wife. The N-E-W Jerzzz will be fist pumping till the conference finals versus Washington but Marty will pull a groin. Ottawa may sneak in if they can figure out what defense is and not let Brian Elliot get fucking peppered.
My pick? Phoenix wins their first Cup since moving from Winnipeg.
Zeus and the rest of you Canadians should check out http://www.puckinghilarious.com. Those are some fun shirts they got up there! LONG LIVE NOVA!

Vancouver never really had a chance against Chicago. And it's not just Luongo, the team just doesn't play committed enough defense as a team

Wow. Montreal doesn't fuck about. 32 seconds in, Gionta scores. Naturally Crosby takes a dumb penalty. Fleury sprung a leak, 4 - 0 going to the second. Montreal closes Mellon arena, 5-2.

I don't understand this enormous hatred for Crosby. What the fuck has he ever done?

He whines to the refs about non-existent calls.
He dives.
If the NHL gave out Oscars, he'd be in the running for best actor, also see H. Sedin.
He punches people in the crotch during fights.
He fights people who don't normally drop the gloves.
He and Malkin were both non-factors against Montreal.
The list goes on....

Name me a single NHL player who doesn't chirp at the refs. It's a disease run rampant in the league now, it's almost embarrassing
Diving? There's what, 2 guys in the entire league who don't do that? It's now a strategy not something to be frowned up. You have to or you're your not doing your job.
One punch, not even on purpose. You're gonna have to do better than that
He's a superstar, arguably the best player in the league. What, you want him to fight the heavyweights? He's supposed to not fight at all. There are guys who get paid to do that, he gets paid to get points.
Being a non-factor in a playoff series is no reason to hate him, it's reason to praise Montreal
You didn't even come up with a single real reason to dislike him. Hell, you practically described nearly every "skilled" player in the league (aside from the fighting one). You wanna know what my theory is? It's backlash to the fact the league pushed him so much as their poster boy. No one likes to be told who to like.

He doesn't wear the blue note. That's why I hate him.
@Rent,
Versus has exclusive rights to the playoffs along with NBC. NBC will probably hold the conference finals and cup finals at some point but most everything has been on Versus.

Sharks are absolutely dominating the Hawks right now. Coach Q, this is familar territory for you. Blues/Avs 2000-2001 bring back any memories? Yeah.
