Turns out real life can be more ridiculous than Prince of Tennis: http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/tennis ... id=5322284

The characters in PoT only played a 160-158 tiebreaker, which is far less than the 5th set that ended in 70-68 and that's GAMES. The winner is going to play a guy who won a 5th set with 16-14 yesterday.

That tennis match was absolutely insane. The last set lasted something like 8 hours which destroyed the previous match length of any tour tennis game. I thought whoever's arm didn't fall off would be the winner the way they went.

What a grueling sport.

Isner lost the 2nd match in 3 straight sets. That wouldn't make a very interesting movie or manga, but it'd be weird if he continue playing at a high level after that game.
