Tattoooooos

So im 29 and got my first one a week and a half ago. A friend of mine has a huge hawaii outline on his shoulder and it got me thinking a few months back about if i were ever to get one, i would probably start by representing my hometown. The hardest part of getting a tattoo is finding one that you really like and connect with enough to have forever. Having grew up in the DC metro area and now having lived in georgetown within the district for 3 years i decided to get the DC flag on the back of my ankle.

I like the simplicity and am glad i got it! However, now im thinking about more and the other ideas i have rolling around.

I remember that Sine got the human transmutation and i always wanted to get the binding one on my upper back...

Image

I think it is pretty nerdy badass. One the same location, though, i've also always thought about was the phoenix from FF6, but i have yet to find a really clean and simple drawing of it...

The pain itself on my leg wasnt that bad. Instead of needle pricks, it felt more like a burning. Like i hit my leg against the stove or something. Im sure the back would hurt like a bitch. Since i have my youth and town now, i do want to rep my nerdy side so if i get another one it will be something along those lines.

Back, at least shoulder area did not hurt much at all. I would actually thing the back of the leg would hurt worse! I have a dragon on my shoulder blade area, and a Konoha leaf symbol on the back of my neck. Back of the neck didnt hurt except the occasional tingle down my back to my butt.

Not tons of locations *hurt* (imo).

Bone is uncomfortable (elbow, knee, skull, etc) and sensitive areas can make ya jump at first (ribs, near armpit, inner thighs). Still, even those things fade and it all ends up feeling same after a minute or two. The best thing I found, if you want to dull the edge a bit if you get larger work, is to pop 3-4 Advil's. Good stuff and unlike liquor, you won't bleed more.

Actually only one thing has ever really hurt...nipple piercing. So momentary...but so shockingly painful. Anyway, nice tattoo. Careful, they can be addictive :)

Heh, didn't realize that I already had a pretty decent version of the ending FMA rune as a picture. It's a little fuzzy, but I think it would work out right.

I got one on my inner bicep near the underarm. It hurt, but now I'm rocking the best Charlie Brown around!

Ok, i got a little crazy and got a few more tattoos this weekend. How does one go from having zero tattoos to three in the span of 6 months?

I'm a muthafucking battletoad!

This is what i gave him as inspiration and i think he did a great job. It only looks reversed because of the mirror.

I liked this spot you mentioned and copied it (see above). I'm not jack enough to have it on the outer bicep, but the inner actually looks good on weak skinny people like me! And yes, it hurt like a bitch, way more than the back or back ankle.
