This is a pretty neat (and extremely long - 26 pages total) article written by a freelancer working for the New Yorker in which Paul Haggis (the director) essentially outs the inner workings of Scientology. I haven't had the day and a half to read it yet but the article I read on this article (he's Canadian so it's gotten some play on CBC) states how he was worried about serious repercussions from the Church and how he was basically in a cult but just couldn't realize it. I don't know if any of it will be new but it certainly will be detailed

OMG, somebody please fire their editor. You need to EDIT IT DOWN! A 26-page article is not an article. It's a fucking biography!
It was interesting, but I was getting annoyed by page 3 with the amount of content.

Long-form articles is what the New Yorker does. If that's not what you're looking for, then you're reading the wrong publication.

Read the whole thing (in pieces, over two days). Worth reading because it goes beyond the whole "Ha-ha, that Xenu story sure is crazy!" and goes into the systematic abuses that Scientology has inflicted upon people.

I read several pages of it when this was first posted here but realized it wasn't particularly changing my stance and it wasn't something I necessarily wanted to become more knowledgeable about and stopped.

Ditto. I've read quite a bit of various stuff from Xenu.net and other sources. It's brainwashing, abuse, and slavery, with deep pockets and lawyers.
