Just so you Americans get an idea of how bad and blatant our telecom companies fuck us in the ass, Bell got caught for misleading advertising and nailed with a $10M fine

That's like getting a ticket for J-walking, you only get it when you're fucking stupid about it and it has a huge negative effect on many other people. These companies just don't care, they'd rather just pay the fine knowing they've made many times that by fucking people.
