Josh Barnett submits Kharitonov via side choke after suffering through Kharitonov's standup and taking him down in fantastic fashion (not quite as good as when he took Rogers down in the Quarter finals, but still better than you're likely to see anywhere else in the division). Kharitonov was good on the ground, but Barnett is on a whole other level from any other heavyweight.
Kickboxer/Olympic class Daniel Cormier KO'd 280 pound BJJ blackbelt Antonio Silva with a beautiful jab-hook-uppercut combo, 3 minutes into the first after a dominant standup performance.
Another huge upset came at the hands of unknown Luke Rockhold against Jacare, another BJJ Blackbelt. Luke Rockhold took Jacare to an impressive decision victory.
I was 1/3 on these fights and I gave Kharitonov a 1/3 chance over Barnett, I didn't think Rockhold or Cormier had any chance against the two much more well known fighters.
Alistair Overeem, who was removed from the tournament due to an injury is fighting Brock Lesnar in December - I expect Overeem to end it with a knee within the first 4 minutes - likely around the 1:30 mark.
