baseball hypothetical question

The more I look at Dorabase the more I think that this is one of the few baseball manga that may actually make sense despite every major character in there is supposed to be stronger than Goku.

If you can throw at 110mph fastball indefinitely, against characters who have physical attributes comparable to real humans, would it make sense to simply always throw fastball the entire game? You have human-like aptitude in other type of pitches. Based on what I see how relief pitchers throw in real life, it seems like most major league players will just whiff on a 110mph fastball. Even against a top batter (of human calibur), there's no reason to believe if you switch to a different pitch it'd fool them (since you're only average on anything besides the fastball). Sure your opponent would know what to expect but it seems like such speed is very hard to hit even if you know it's coming. I guess if you know someone always throws at the speed you can pace yourself and just swing blindly after however long you calculate the pitch will arrive, but I doubt that's an effective strategy?

Any pro baseball player will be able to hit a 110mph fastball if they know it's coming........unless the path of the ball is unpredictable. Not all fastballs move in a predictable manner, that's what makes them hard to hit. That's why you have so many different kinds of fastball, including the rising fastball, two-seamed fastball, four-seamed fastball, sinking fastball, split-finger fastball, cutter (cut fastball), etc

Okay, maybe it's too much to expect any baseball manga to actually make sense. I noticed that in Dorabase they do walk A-emon every every bat, who pretty much as a slugging average of 4.000, so I guess that's better than nothing!
